Wuhan Officials Dismantle Walls as Virus Restrictions Abate


Officials in Wuhan, China began knocking down barriers erected to curb the spread of the coronavirus as the virus threat subsides in the city, Sunday, April 5.


Berlin's zoo and animal park opened its gates, Tuesday, April 28, in safe distance mode as coronavirus restrictions begin to ease in Germany.

Shopkeepers in the city at the center of China's virus outbreak are reopening but customers are scarce as authorities lift more of the anti-virus controls that kept tens of millions of people at home for two months. (March 30)
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has urged people to stay disciplined as some shops reopen for the first time since coronavirus curbs were imposed in late March.
The leader of Europe's largest economy says a full shutdown will be inevitable if the number of infections rises again.
