Wuhan, China Out Of Lockdown


Healthy residents are allowed to travel in and out of Wuhan, but will still need to follow prevention measures like wearing a mask.

Dr Rick Bright, who was forced out of his role leading a search for a coronavis vaccine, has spoken out against president Donald Trump.

He was one of many medical professionals who have disagreed with president Trump's eagerness for the US to leave lockdown as soon as possible.

For the first time in 11 weeks, people drove out of Wuhan, Wednesday, April 8, as the last travel restrictions were lifted in the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic.
As the lockdown in Italy enters its sixth week, some restaurants and bars are already going out of business.

The Italian government has told the BBC that it may be many months before they can reopen fully, without restrictions.

The BBC's Europe correspondent Jean Mackenzie has spoken to owners who are struggling to see a future.
