White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tests positive for coronavirus

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is the latest person in U.S. President Donald Trump's orbit to reveal a positive coronavirus test.

The White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, released a statement on Twitter that she has tested positive for Covid-19 after "testing negatively consistently" since Thursday. Her statement notes she had "no knowledge" of Hope Hicks' diagnosis prior to holding the White House briefing. Aired on 10/05/2020.
NBC News confirms that two deputies to White House Press Secretary also tested positive for Covid-19 Monday along with McEnany herself. Aired on 10/05/2020.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has joined the growing list of people in President Trump's inner circle to test positive for COVID-19. McEnany's diagnosis is outraging the White House Press Corps, who note that McEnany actually removed her mask as she briefed reporters Sunday on the president's condition. Kellyanne Conway also disclosed her own positive test result, but only after her 15-year-old daughter Claudia announced it on TikTok.
