What does Biden's win mean for Ireland and UK-EU trade talks?


The clock is counting down on negotiations to reach a Brexit trade deal between the UK and the European Union.
For people on both sides of an invisible border on the island of Ireland, the outcome is vital as there are fears that it could plunge Ireland into conflict again.
And as the US election was called for Democratic nominee Joe Biden, the mood in the Irish town of Ballina was one of excitement and Joy.
Biden, has often emphasized his Irish roots and knows Ballina well. His great-great-great-grandfather was born there, and he has promised to return after his inauguration.
There are hopes that having Biden on Ireland's side will help drive the discussion towards a positive conclusion.
