US elections 2020: Ballot drop boxes installed across states
The US Postal Service has warned that millions of mail-in votes may not arrive in time to be counted November 3, the Election Day.
States are scrambling to install ballot drop boxes to encourage early voting.
That is despite President Donald Trump's claims without evidence that mail-in voting will encourage fraud.

California's Secretary of State issued a cease-and-desist order, telling the state's GOP to remove illegal ballot drop boxes by Thursday. But, the party isn't backing down, citing the state's "ballot harvesting" law. CBS News campaign reporter Musadiq Bidar joined Elain Quijano to discuss. Earlier this week, the state's attorney general and secretary of state filed a cease-and-desist order for the removal of the unauthorized boxes, saying they are causing concerns over voter security. Greg Abbott (R) is going to shut down absentee ballot drop-off locations across the state, leaving only one site per county.
