Unarmed man shot by police left paralysed from waist down, says family


Jacob Blake, the unarmed 29 year old who was shot by police in the back, has been left paralysed from the waist down, according to his family.

Since then, there has been a second night of clashes in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. America has seen a growing number of protests concerning police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Witnesses say Jonathan Price was trying to defuse an argument at a Texas store when Officer Shaun Lucas arrived and used a stun gun before shooting Price, who was unarmed and walking away.
A teen suspect was shot dead by police after a teacher was beheaded in France. Nine more suspects were detained by police, including some of the teen's family members.

Hong Kong has seen more than 1,000 underage protesters arrested since the outbreak of mass anti-government protests in 2019.

Close to 700 have been charged with rioting.
