Venezuela's government has condemned a UK court ruling denying it permission to withdraw gold worth $1bn from the Bank of England.

But a judge ruled the UK only recognises one leader - Juan Guaido.

On May 1, 47 inmates were shot dead by guards in a Venezuelan prison, in what human rights groups called a massacre. The government disputes this, saying the prison guards were fired on. The NBC News Verification Unit has investigated.
