Trump Campaign Spends $3 Million On Recount In Two Wisconsin Counties


Biden won Wisconsin by more than 20k votes, but the Trump campaign has requested - and paid for - a recount in Wisconsin's Milwaukee and Dane Counties. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul says if the Trump campaign follows the recount with a legal challenge, it would fail. "We've seen the Trump campaign's success in court post-election, and they keep losing case after case. And the reason is because their claims have no merit." Aired on 11/18/2020.

The Trump campaign is requesting a recount in two heavily Democratic counties in Wisconsin as the president continues to push unfounded claims of voter fraud. This comes after he fired his top election security official, Christopher Krebs. CBS News White House correspondents Weijia Jiang and Paula Reid have more on that plus a warning from the White House coronavirus task force.
As a response to the New York Times report, President Donald Trump claimed he paid millions of dollars in taxes in 2016 and 2017.
