"The People of Poland, the People of America, and the People of Europe still Cry Out 'We Want God'"


A little over three years ago, President Trump delivered one of the most important speeches of his presidency at Krasinski Square in Warsaw, Poland. Standing before a monument to the Warsaw Uprising, he called for defending Western civilization against all enemies who seek to destroy it.

In that speech, President Trump honored the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising, who rose up and took arms against their Nazi oppressors 76 years ago on August 1, 1944. In vivid detail, the President recounted the story of the defenders of Jerusalem Avenue and their struggle to hold that vital strip of land in defense of Polish freedom.

Convened under the auspices of the President of the General Assembly and organized by the Office of the Secretary General's Envoy on Youth in collaboration with the Major Group on Children and Youth (MGCY) and the International Coordination Meeting of Youth Organizations (ICMYO) - with the participation of the Secretary-General.

The event will take place virtually and will bring together young people from all over the world to lead and drive a discussion of the theme: "The Future We Want, The UN We Need: Reaffirming our commitment to multilateralism", bringing opinions, views, ideas and solutions in connection with the thematic topics of the United Nations' 75th Anniversary and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Throughout the event, the young audience will be invited to interact and shape the discussion through a live chat function.
