Suspect shot by police after teacher beheaded in France


A teen suspect was shot dead by police after a teacher was beheaded in France. Nine more suspects were detained by police, including some of the teen's family members.


A man armed with a knife on Friday beheaded a middle school history teacher in front of his school in a suburb of Paris before he was shot dead by police.
French prosecutors say the suspect who beheaded a teacher near Paris was a teenager of Chechen descent.
Police officers shot the suspect as they tried to arrest him on Friday. He later died of his wounds
The school is believed to have received multiple threats after the teacher showed a controversial image of the Prophet Muhammad in a lesson about freedom of expression.
Nine people are in custody in connection with the attack.

The French police have arrested nine people after a suspect beheaded a school teacher in broad daylight on the street in a Paris suburb on Friday, police sources said.
Samuel Paty, who had recently shown students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, was beheaded outside his school.

Jacob Blake, the unarmed 29 year old who was shot by police in the back, has been left paralysed from the waist down, according to his family.

Since then, there has been a second night of clashes in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. America has seen a growing number of protests concerning police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.
