Senator Susan Collins will vote to acquit President Trump
Senator Susan Collins says she will vote to acquit President Trump on both articles of impeachment.
Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., each held press conferences to respond after the Senate voted to find President Trump "not guilty" on both articles of impeachment. The Senate has acquitted President Donald Trump on both articles of impeachment, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Speaking on the Senate floor on Wednesday, Sen. Mitt Romney said he would vote to convict President Trump on the impeachment charge of abuse of power, describing his actions as an "appalling abuse of public trust." In a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday, Republican Senator Mitt Romney of Utah said he will vote to convict President Trump of abusing his power.
