U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated Tuesday during a coronavirus task force briefing that he would like to re-open the country for business by Easter.
————————— President Trump is doubling down on earlier remarks about removing coronavirus restrictions that he feels are damaging the economy. During Monday's coronavirus briefing, he said he would like people to return to work by Easter. But once again, medical professionals say it's too soon to predict when it will be safe to lift stay-at-home orders and get back to ‘normal.' Aired on 3/25/2020. Some industries in the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the outbreak emerged late last year, will resume, the provincial government has said.
The notice said key sectors such as public transport, medical supplies, and producers of daily necessities, will be allowed to return to work.
Other industries that impact national or global supply chains can also resume - with permission from relevant authorities.
The number of new infections have been decreasing by the day in China and the country is now tightening travel restrictions to try and prevent imported cases.
The latest restriction is that all international arrivals in the capital Beijing will have to be quarantined for two weeks, a city official has said.
