School places 6-year-old girl in mental health facility


The girl's school is under fire after she spent two days there.

The recent murder of a 7-year-old girl in Mexico is bringing tensions to a boil in the country. Also, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro defiantly said President Trump is wrong if he thinks the U.S. can easily topple his government, and a "ghost" cargo ship washed ashore in Ireland. Officers are seen in edited body camera footage escorting a 6-year-old girl out of school and to a nearby mental health facility, where she would be committed for two days. The school alleges the girl was "destroying school property, attacking staff" and "out of control," but her family says they are shocked and outraged over the decision.
A 6-year-old South Carolina girl who disappeared Monday after getting off her school bus was found dead Thursday and a homicide investigation has begun, Cayce Public Safety Director Byron Snellgrove said. (Feb.13)
Police discovered the body of 6-year-old Faye Swetlik in her neighborhood near the remains of an unidentified male. Faye's death is now being investigated as a homicide.
