Police investigate Black Louisiana teen's mysterious death


Quawan Charles disappeared last month and was found dead days later in a sugar cane field; the case is being investigated as a possible homicide but his family is raising questions.

Outrage across Brazil at the killing of a Black man by security guards.
Protesters are focusing their anger at branches of the French supermarket chain Carrefour, where the incident happened.
Two security guards in Brazil are being investigated over the killing of 40-year-old Joao Alberto Silveira Freitas outside a Carrefour supermarket in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre.
One of the security guards is an off-duty policeman.
Video shows the guards repeatedly hitting the man in the face.

The fatal police shooting of a Black man allegedly armed with a knife in the western side of Philadelphia sparked violent protests overnight, with at least 30 officers reported injured early Tuesday - including one sergeant who was reportedly struck by a pick-up truck.
According to French media, a man was decapitated on a street in the Conflans St Honorine area at about 5pm local time.

The country's anti-terror prosecutor has called the incident a stabbing but the Reuters and AP news agencies reported the victim was decapitated, according to police sources.

A second police source told Reuters that witnesses heard the attacker shout Allahu Akbar, or God is greatest.

A terrorism investigation is underway, AP reported.
