Plane Carrying US Citizens from Coronavirus-Hit Wuhan Arrives in California

The Trump administration has proposed more than a $1-trillion package to cushion the economic blow of the coronavirus pandemic.
Congress has yet to approve the plan which includes money to citizens and businesses COVID-19 has hit hard.
US stock markets reacted positively to the news.
The number of US cases of the virus has risen to nearly 6,000 and the death toll has reached 100.

China is sending a charter plane to repatriate citizens from the Iranian city of Qom, the first of several flights planned by Beijing.
It comes as the outbreak is easing in China.
But cases are mounting abroad, including in neighbouring South Korea and Japan.

The US State Department warned American citizens not to travel abroad due to the coronavirus pandemic, issuing the highest possible level of travel advisory.
The Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory "advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19."
The State Department urged Americans "in countries where commercial departure options remain available" to "arrange for immediate return to the United States, unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period."
The updated advisory also cautioned US citizens living abroad to "avoid all international travel."
US President Donald Trump is warning Americans to prepare for the "hard days that lie ahead" after listening to top government scientists on where the coronavirus curve was headed.
The country saw its highest single-day death toll, with more than 800 deaths.
White House health officials say the virus could kill up to 240,000 people nationwide.
