Pandemic pushes Greece towards digital overhaul

The pandemic is fueling a global recession and for some nations like Greece, it means a second major economic downturn in a decade.

The government believes large digital investment may prove to be the way out of this latest crisis.

Greece could suffer a 10-percent recession this year because of COVID-19, will its move towards the digital economy will come quickly enough to replace lost jobs?

But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, few business leaders will travel in the official delegation, and companies are placing even more emphasis on developing its e-commerce.

The Digital Services Act, which is expected to be in place by the end of this year, is the first big overhaul of European internet regulation for two decades.
