NYPD officer seen pointing gun at crowd


New York City Police Commissioner Dermot Shea says about six incidents were being investigated by the department's internal affairs bureau, including one where an officer pointed a gun at protesters. (June 1)

Video shows an encounter between a police officer and a driver where the officer points his gun at the driver for over four minutes. The woman was pulled over for driving a stolen car. She was released without charges, claiming she knew nothing of the stolen vehicle.
Paul Butler joins Lawrence O'Donnell to discuss the repercussions for the NYPD officer who was suspended without pay after appearing to use an illegal chokehold now that both New York city and state have passed laws making it a crime to use chokeholds: "You can go to jail now for what this officer did. Hopefully that will make the training take."
Gunmen attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in the city of Karachi over an hour ago.
A grenade was thrown as the men entered the compound.
Security forces were quickly on the scene and police say the attack is now over.
Several people have been killed including four of the assailants, an official said.
