New York Giants surprise again, taking Andrew Thomas #4 overall at NFL Draft


For the second consecutive year, the New York Giants surprised many by taking Andrew Thomas with the 4th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Peter Schrager is critical of New York, believing they could have traded down and got Thomas later in the round; however, Jay Glazer and Joel Klatt refuse to criticize the Giants pick.

The New York Giants select Georgia OT Andrew Thomas with the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, whom Daniel Jeremiah had ranked as his fourth best tackle.

Giants GM Dave Gettleman admitted the team doesn't want to overpay for pass rushers in free agency, which could hint at New York targeting the position in the draft.
