Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on Tuesday received her first dose of the Moderna COVID -19 vaccine in front of the media as part of a growing effort to convince the American public the inoculations are safe.
As adults start receiving the vaccine later this month, the drugmaker said it will soon begin testing the vaccine in children aged 12-17.
An intensive-care physician in Wales got one of the coveted 'first-day' slots to receive an initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the U.K. He says he wanted to set a good example for his patients and to the general public.
