Minneapolis protests after death in police custody


Protests in Minneapolis, Minnesota intensify after the death of #GeorgeFloyd while a police officer pinned him down on the street. The city's mayor called for criminal charges against the officer.

Protesters in Minneapolis on Tuesday filled the intersection in the street where a black man named George Floyd died in police custody. Protesters later damaged the windows of a police precinct and a squad car. Police responded with tear gas. (May 27)
An investigation is under way in India after two men died in police custody in Tamil Nadu state.
Relatives of the victims say they were tortured.
The case has sparked outrage, with hundreds of thousands of people calling for justice.
