Lift off! Climate change satellite launches


A satellite that will allow British scientists to measure sea levels has been launched into space on a SpaceX rocket.

Copernicus Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich was successfully sent into orbit on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from a launch pad in California.

Last month was the world's hottest September on record, with unusually high temperatures recorded off #Siberia, in the Middle East, and in parts of South America and Australia, the European Union's Copernicus #Climate Change Service said on Wednesday.
