John Bolton: Mike Pompeo 'has eviscerated his credibility'

CNN's Wolf Blitzer talks to former national security adviser John Bolton about Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claiming there will be a "smooth transition to a second Trump adminstration" despite President-elect Joe Biden's victory.

Mike Pompeo has become the first US secretary of state to visit an illegal settlement in the occupied West Bank.
He has also become the first to set foot in the occupied Golan Heights.
It is the latest - and most controversial - leg of his 10 day tour of the Middle East and Europe.
Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett has more.
John Bolton, Donald Trump's former security adviser, says "we still don't know all the circumstances" around top aide Hope Hicks testing positive for COVID-19.

He called the President's handling of the pandemic "irresponsible" and said his COVID-19 diagnosis will get in the way of his message that the US has the virus under control.

Mr Bolton said people may feel increased sympathy for Mr Trump, which could help him in the election campaign.
John Bolton, who served as Trump's national security adviser in 2018-19, told CBC News that Donald Trump thinks Canada has "out-negotiated" past U.S. administrations on trade and defence matters for decades. When trade issues aren't top of mind, Trump thinks little of Canada because it doesn't advance his electoral agenda, says Bolton.
John Bolton, who previously served as President Trump's National Security Advisor, called on the president to "let the full transition process proceed" so President-elect Joe Biden could begin to receive important information for his transition, even if he has not conceded. Aired on 11/13/2020.
