Hurricane Hanna makes landfall in Texas


Strong rain, heavy winds and flash floods are expected over a 100-mile stretch of Texas' Gulf Coast.

Just before midnight on the East Coast Monday, Hurricane Isaias made landfall in the southern portion of North Carolina. Bill Saffo, the mayor of Wilmington, NC, joins to discuss. Aired on 8/3/2020.
Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, according to the National Hurricane Center. The hurricane touched down just after 11 p.m. EDT on Monday with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph. (August 4)
Hurricane Isaias has been downgraded to a tropical storm. Forecasters warn of flooding, power outages and tornadoes.

Hurricane Hanna made landfall Saturday on the Texas Gulf Coast, lashing the shoreline with wind, rain and a storm surge, even threatening to bring tornadoes to an area coping with a spike in coronavirus cases.
