G20 leaders call for worldwide coordinated response to COVID-19 pandemic


World leaders at the virtual G20 summit hosted by Saudi Arabia call for vaccines for all countries and global coordinated response to the coronavirus pandemic

The two candidates vying to be the next vice president of the United States are preparing for a showdown in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The debate between the incumbent, Mike Pence, and Kamala Harris will likely focus on President Donald Trump's health and his handling of COVID-19 pandemic.

Former President Obama joined Joe Biden on the campaign trail Saturday, three days before Election Day. "Does he have nothing better to worry about? Did no one come to his birthday party when he was a kid? What's with the crowd size?" Mr. Obama wondered about President Trump.
#Vaccines4All is an initiative by the General Assembly President, Volkan Bozkir to build political support around the idea of fair and equitable distribution of vaccines.

2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the United Nations - a year defined by the COVID-19 pandemic. As the coronavirus spread to all parts of the world, it exposed and worsened inequalities, hitting the most vulnerable communities the hardest.

"The surest way to end the COVID-19 pandemic is also the fairest: vaccines for all," says General Assembly President Volkan Bozkir.

In September, a record number of heads of State and Government addressed the General Assembly. Many set out their plans to overcome the pandemic.
