Family Believes 21-Year-Old Infected Them with COVID-19


Miami, Florida's bar-laden South Beach neighborhood has been declared the "epicenter of the epicenter" of the coronavirus pandemic. For young people who think they're invincible, Miami resident Michelle Zymet has a message. She says her 21-year-old stepson went out to the bars with friends, and brought home COVID-19. Now, the entire family has tested positive and her husband is on a ventilator, fighting for his life.

John Place is back home today after surviving a battle with COVID-19 that landed him in the hospital for 45 days. The 43-year-old dad blames his son Nick for giving him the virus, and the shame the 21-year-old feels is profound. From the beginning of the pandemic, the Place family was cautious about limiting their risk of being exposed to the virus, including Nick. But then Nick attended a friend's party without a mask. He fell sick a few days later.
In New Jersey, Chris Rogan is celebrating after surviving an epic 132-day battle with COVID-19. The 29-year-old flatlined once during his fight against the virus, and he had to have his leg amputated after suffering blood clots. His family says there were multiple occasions where for almost a week straight, doctors told them Chris was dying imminently, but every time, Chris pulled through. Other long-suffering patients like Kate Porter have had symptoms for as long as 140 days.
Jaw-dropping video shows a college student struggling to capture a 400-pound bull shark off the shores of Long island, New York. It took 21-year-old TJ Minutillo over two hours to reel in the giant beast. After taking photos with the shark, he released it back into the water. Inside Edition caught up with 21-year-old TJ Minutillo on Long Island, where authorities are on heightened alert after numerous sightings of sharks.
Ohio mom Jill Parker says she is feeling incredibly guilty after 11 family members tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a pool party in her backyard. She said that, ironically, everyone who attended had been careful out in public, wearing masks and using hand sanitizer, not for a second thinking danger would strike in her own backyard. National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, who comes in contact with President Trump on a daily basis, has tested positive for the virus.
