​Cirque Du Soleil Files For Bankruptcy Protection


​The Canada-based circus arts show the filing is a "response to immense disruption and forced show closures" due to COVID-19.

Latin America's second-largest airline, Avianca Holdings filed for bankruptcy in a U.S. court this month. With world travel crippled by the pandemic, the Colombian airline is looking for a way out. CGTN Correspondent Michelle Begue, has this story from Bogotá.
The retailer has struggled with slowing sales for years with the coronavirus pandemic exacerbating its problems. Starting tomorrow, Kroger will end the extra $2 an hour of "hero pay" for essential workers, with other major chains following suit by the end of the month. Kroger will instead offer a new bonus payment of up to $400 for full-time employees and $200 for part-time workers.
