China expects Coronavirus outbreak to accelerate

Chinese health officials have announced they expect to see the coronavirus outbreak intensify. Authorities have canceled major public events and tourist attractions, and health screenings are taking place at road blocks, train stations and transport hubs.

A Cal State University Northridge student is still in China on Thursday night, near the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak -- his semester studying abroad turning into a nightmare. Samson Adame, 24, has been stuck in the Shandong Province of China since the epidemic broke out nearly a month ago. CBS Los Angeles' Lesley Marin reports.
Over the past week, some Fox News anchors and personalities went from emphasizing the health implications of the coronavirus outbreak to the economic implications, after much of the network shifted to somber coverage of the outbreak.
Soldiers are enforcing curfews in Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, as millions are confined to their homes. Hospitals there are overwhelmed as the number of suspected cases grew by thousands overnight.
