US President Donald Trump has backtracked on his suggestion that voters should try to cast their ballots twice in November's election, which is deemed illegal.
In an abrupt u-turn, Trump took to Twitter to urge people to send ballots early by mail, then visit the polling station on election day to check if their postal vote was registered.
The US president has been insisting, without evidence, that more postal voting will lead to widespread fraud.
