Military members aboard the Navy ship Mercy continued to aid hospital workers after the ship received its first patients at the port of Los Angeles last weekend. It is intended to ease pressure on hospitals by taking in non-COVID-19 patients. (March 31)

The U.S. Navy ship Comfort has arrived in New York City to help hospitals that are currently overwhelmed with #coronavirus patients. The 1,000-bed ship will not see any #covid19 patients but will start seeing other patients as early as tomorrow. So far, 790 deaths due to the coronavirus have been reported in New York City. Across the city, temporary hospitals have also been set up at the Javits Center and in Central Park. The state has had more than 66,000 coronavirus patients.
