Amazing Rescues From Capsized Boats


Tammy and Brian Bossard were on a boat with their daughters Kennedy and Charlotte when their craft capsized near Orlando, Florida. One of the Bossard's little girls was trapped but miraculously, she survived and was able to meet her rescuers a few days later. And three teens fishing off the Florida Keys got a first-hand feel for a capsized boat accident. They were two miles off the Florida Keys when their rented boat started taking on water.

Filipino deckhand Jay-nel Rosals was pulled to safety by the Japanese coast guard after his life raft was spotted by a rescue plane.
A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter rescued two teenage girls, Wednesday, July 30, after they became stranded on rocks in Oregon's Columbia River.

The Coast Guard's MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and crew were mobilized from the air station in Astoria.

The teens said they were not able to paddle their inner tubes back to shore and the rising tide made walking an impossibility.
