17-Year-Old Inspires Parents to Donate 27 Bikes in His Honor

A young man who died at age 17 left a lasting example of helping others. Now, a foundation he inspired is helping people in the Philippines get around by giving away bicycles. Drs. Glenda and George Canlas started the organization in memory of their son Benjamin, who passed away last year. They remember how he once spent his own money to replace broken pedals on a stranger's bike. Inside Edition Digital's Mara Montalbano has more.

Paige says that the attack changed her life in a split second, and relives her father's battle with the shark while it had her body in its mouth. Despite the hard times, you can tell Paige is a fighter who isn't one to give up easily.
For the first time in state history, eligible 17-year-old Coloradans were able to vote in a primary election this year. But an amendment on the ballot in November will ask voters if only U.S. citizens age 18 or older should be able vote in federal, state, and local elections. Nicole Hensel, executive director of New Era Colorado, joins CBSN's "Red & Blue" to discuss the importance of young voters.
Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old from Illinois, has been arrested in connection with the shooting of three demonstrators in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that killed two people and injured another. The teen has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and is now in police custody. Authorities say Rittenhouse was one of a number of self-proclaimed armed militia members who showed up at a Black Lives Matter protest following the shooting of Jacob Blake by a white police officer.
